About the Role
We are on the hunt for an experienced, passionate, and driven person to join Team Mack in the Engineering Officer - Transport role.
The Engineering Officer - Transport is a key role and is responsible for coordinating and managing the use of the road corridor and providing administration and technical support to the Roading Manager and Engineering Manager. It involves the day-to-day supervision of Councils physical works contract and ensuring these works are appropriately recorded, meet quality standards and are safe. The role includes supporting the Council’s asset information in GIS and other database systems, including RAMM.
About You
You will be a go getter with a passion for continuous improvement and the desire to work collaboratively to meet outcomes for key stakeholders of Mackenzie District Council. In addition, you will have:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a technical support role
- Diploma in Civil Engineering (not essential but highly desirable)
- A keen interest in pursuing a career in Civil Engineering and/or Local Government
- A current and full drivers’ licence is essential
- Proficient user of MS Suite and have superb computer literacy
- Ability to work well in a team and is a confident written and verbal communicator
